LAS VEGAS — Heading into Monday, the Dallas Cowboys had lost and failed to cover their past four games and were also 0-4 straight-up and against the spread at home this season.

One bettor wagered $1 million that the Cowboys will continue to struggle on “Monday Night Football” against the Houston Texans.

Hard Rock Bet, which doesn’t operate in Nevada, posted on X (@HardRockBet) late Monday afternoon that a bettor wagered $1 million to win $117,647.06 on the Texans to cover the alternate line of +4 1/2.

Houston is a consensus 7-point favorite over Dallas, which drew sharp action last week as a large home underdog.

“There was some really sharp money on Dallas +7 1/2 early in the week,” Westgate SuperBook director John Murray said Sunday night. “But I’m sure we’re going to end up needing Dallas. All the parlays that are left are going to the Texans.”

The consensus total is 41.

Dallas (3-6) has the NFL’s second-worst spread record at 2-7. Only the Tennessee Titans are worse at 1-9 ATS.

“We’re clearly going to be Cowboys fans,” Red Rock Resort sportsbook director Chuck Esposito said.

The Texans (6-4, 4-5-1 ATS) have lost two straight games and three of four. Houston is the NFL’s top under team (8-2).

The Texans got star wide receiver Nico Collins back, and Cowboys star wideout CeeDee Lamb played.
