Idaho Gov. Brad Little heads to 'Center of the Universe' for meeting with Donald Trump

Gov. Brad Little is scheduled to dine with President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday.

Idaho’s Republican governor is a supporter of the incoming president, and has celebrated recent instances where Idaho has been in the sights of national Republicans, like when billionaire Elon Musk posted on X, formerly called Twitter, about the Gem State.

“Excited to meet with President Trump this evening to discuss how we will work together to accomplish his bold vision for American greatness here in the West,” Little posted on social media.

According to Politico, Trump is hosting the nation’s Republican governors for dinner at his Florida retreat, which the 45th — and soon-to-be 47th U.S. president — last month referred to on social media as the “Center of the Universe.” Earlier on Thursday, Trump attended former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral at the National Cathedral in Washington with President Joe Biden and former presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, among a throng of other dignitaries.

“Idaho stands ready to support (Trump) as he fights to Make America Great Again!” Little said. Trump’s Inauguration as the 47th president is set for Jan. 20 in Washington.

Little’s spokesperson, Joan Varsek, declined to provide any additional details about the meeting that his office posted about Thursday morning.

On Friday, Trump is scheduled to be sentenced in New York for making an illegal hush money payment to an adult film star, making him the first convicted felon to occupy the White House. The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday ruled against Trump’s request to delay his sentencing in a 5-4 vote.
