Trump to campaign in Detroit, Oakland County

DETROIT — Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will campaign in Oakland County and Detroit on Friday, the same day his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, is making a series of stops across Michigan.
Trump, the former president, is scheduled to participate in a roundtable discussion in Oakland County at 5 p.m. Friday. He will also hold a rally in Detroit, Michigan's largest city, Friday, according to two sources with knowledge of the plans.
The details of the Detroit visit hadn't been publicly announced as of 7 p.m. Monday.
The campaigns of both Harris and Trump have been focusing in on Michigan, a state with 15 electoral votes, this fall. The Nov. 5 election will take place 18 days after the visits on Friday.
Trump was last in Michigan on Thursday to speak to members of the Detroit Economic Club. The Friday roundtable in Oakland County is being organized by a group called Building America’s Future. Members of the public can attend the event.
Harris will be in Detroit Tuesday to participate in a radio town hall event with host Charlamagne Tha God. Then, on Friday, she will hold campaign events in Grand Rapids, Lansing and Oakland County. And on Saturday, she will hold another event in Detroit.
