‘Snow White’ comes to life in still from Disney’s live-action remake
Published in Fashion Daily News
Disney first brought the fairy-tale character of Snow White to the screen in 1937, wearing a Technicolor-ready dress with a blue bodice, red contrast slashes on the sleeves and a yellow skirt. Now she’s back, played by Rachel Zegler in Disney’s upcoming live-action version of the story — and she’s in a gown with a blue bodice, red contrast slashes on the sleeves and a yellow skirt.
It’s a nice nod to the original, but I suspect that costume designer Sandy Powell (whose glorious credits include “Cinderella,” “The Aviator,” “Mary Poppins Returns” and “Shakespeare in Love”) has a wealth of new looks in store.
“Snow White” opens in theaters March 21, 2025.
