Stars of ‘Wicked’ past and present pose together at movie premiere

Shall we start off the day with a quartet of well-dressed witches?
Here, at the Los Angeles premiere of the “Wicked” movie last weekend, are “Wicked” past and “Wicked” future: Idina Menzel (in black) and Kristin Chenoweth (in gold), who starred as Elphaba and Glinda in the original 2003 Broadway production, flank Cynthia Erivo (in green) and Ariana Grande (in pink), who play those roles in the upcoming movie.
Note Menzel’s sleek play on a witch dress, Erivo’s nod to Elphaba’s trademark green, Grande’s checked dress as a sweet homage to Dorothy’s famous gingham in the 1939 movie, and Chenoweth’s what-the-heck-I-just-want-to-sparkle gold pouf.
“Wicked” the movie arrives in theaters Nov. 22.
