Super Hunter's Moon

Holiday Mathis on

The full moon in Aries is a hunter with super-sized hunger and ferocity. What passions are you willing to venture for? Even the vague notion that there's something better out there to explore will send many howling into the night. The mission may prove that what you left at home was mighty fine, but even so, one must take the journey to know for sure.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You're facing crossroads and working through something interesting to get there. Actually, that's an understatement, but it helps you to understate things sometimes. It makes the thorny complexity seem manageable. You can do this.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). It's not every day that you're invited to be immersed in someone's world, so you jump at the chance if it's offered. Today it's not offered, it just happens naturally, and you go in with wide-eyed awareness, soaking up the details.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). What you got used to is no longer there. Fill the void with an exciting symbol of the new you. It doesn't have to be delightful to be an effective seat-filler. More than likely, it's a discipline that leads you to what's delightful.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). We don't always analyze people based on their behavior. Often we analyze them based on how their behavior measures up to what they might, could or should have done to measure up. Today you'll ask: is it really fair?

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Wanting something doesn't mean it's the best thing out there for you. Furthermore, the impact of disappointment can be diminished with a self-fulfilling prophecy: For every unmet expectation there will be an expectation exceeded.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Each person is a glorious mystery. To know a person is more than finding out what they've done. It's finding out about the reality they move through and how they construct it. You'll have fun putting together the pieces.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Attention comes in steady drips; people are interested in what you're putting into the world. Enjoy this phase of being ultra-attractive. You run your life in an orderly fashion. You make appointments, and you keep them.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). The expression "paralysis by analysis" will apply. It takes quite a lot of energy to analyze, and it is natural to be physically still when things get louder in the brain. Reminder: you can be aware without needing to analyze.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). As for the sub-optimal circumstance, the question is not whether you can tolerate it, but whether there is any benefit to doing so. Acting solely for the benefits of others is valid. Indulging their greed isn't.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). There will be a chance to quickly fill someone in on the inside scoop, and it will give you an advantage to discreetly, quickly and un emotionally deliver the message so everybody is on the same page.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Sometimes it's not about what people say so much as that they are saying anything at all to you that matters. Attention indicates interest. Words do not always adequately encompass the nature of that interest.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Your labor is not being compensated fairly. Is there something else you could get out of this situation that would make it worthwhile to you? Tonight: Someone is intrigued by the mystery of you.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Oct. 17). You'll make decisions as though all the resources in the world were at your fingertips -- not far-fetched because you have what you need this year, including a vivid vision that allows you to think, feel and behave as a new version of you. More highlights: A positive turn for finance, you'll be selected to a power position and you'll change your lifestyle, making you fit and strong. Scorpio and Libra adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 6, 10, 13, 28 and 40.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Eminem's latest album "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace)" is a chart-topper, and the Libran artist is riding yet another career high. Regarded among greats, the rapper's success is considered to have broken racial barriers to white rappers in popular music. High-energy, angry and reactionary art is a different take on Libran energy, since generally discord is upsetting to the sign who thrives in harmonious conditions, but turning turmoil into art is definitely on-brand for Libra.
