Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino's lives are still "very intertwined" despite their split.
The pair reportedly called off their engagement earlier this year but have still been spotted out and about together, although pals insist their relationship is strictly platonic right now.
A source told Us Weekly: "They had been together for so many years and their lives are very intertwined. It's hard for them to just pull the plug and stop all communication.
"The wedding is still off. Sydney and Jonathan have maintained a good relationship during this time and aren't back together. They are figuring things out. Sydney is still maintaining that she is single and very focused on work."
Actress Sydney, 27, and film producer Jonathan, 41, were first linked in 2018 and their engagement was revealed in 2022.
They bought a house together in the Bel Air area of Los Angeles in 2023 and they have not yet decided what to do with the property, which is currently being renovated.
An insider said: "This home was supposed to be their family home together.
"They have talked about selling the home once it is done down the line and are hoping to make a profit but haven't made a decision yet."
Meanwhile, Sydney is determined to focus on her career post-split.
A source previously told PEOPLE: "She's exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She's all about working right now and very excited about all her projects.
"Sweeney is in the middle of this magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago. This is what she wants to focus on right now."
