The return of a beloved Disney heroine tops the releases for the week of March 18.

"Moana 2": This sequel to the 2016 animated film sees Moana as a more experienced wayfinder, putting together a crew for a voyage across the ocean to find and connect with more people.

"While the impressive voice cast of Pacific Islanders, including Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson, has returned (with a few new additions), a new creative team has been assembled for the sequel, which was originally developed as a series and then reworked into a feature length film," writes Tribune News Service critic Katie Walsh in her review. "The good news is that the seams don’t show on the finished film, which is as visually dazzling and culturally rich as the first, and an apt continuation of Moana’s story, who is now a revered 'wayfinder' in her community, on a tiny Pacific Island."
