Margaret Qualley wants romcom role

Margaret Qualley is desperate to be in a romcom.
The 'Substance' actress has played a number of "complex, sometimes strange" characters on screen and though she's auditioned a number of times to be a "romantic lead in a silly movie", she's still waiting to receive the call offering her such a role.
She told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "I think I choose my roles as much as my roles choose me, in the sense that there are casting directors and directors and I'm quite literally being chosen to play these kinds of complex, sometimes strange, people.
"But then, of course, I am gravitating towards specific roles as well.
"I've tried many times to just be in a romcom, the romantic lead in a silly movie. It's just not panned out."
Margaret was most recently seen alongside Demi Moore in 'The Substance' and she couldn't have asked for a better co-star.
She gushed: "There isn't a more committed, more hard-working, compelling, supportive actress.
"She's fantastic to work with. And so, I'm just trying to keep up."
The 30-year-old actress had never had a role quite like Sue, who she plays in the body horror, and she found it "exhausting".
She said: "Playing Sue was certainly entering the eye of the storm. It was mentally and physically challenging.
"So, I'm glad I had to deal with all these things head-on, and I do feel stronger because of it.
"But Sue was a very strange character to play to be honest.
"I've never had an experience quite like this. It's bizarre, because Sue is ultimately quite heartless and kind of soulless.
"And the things that Sue cares about the most are maybe the worst parts of being a human.
"So, to amplify that was pretty exhausting, but I feel I'm part of a greater message."
