Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has revealed his tactic for dealing with "screwy or wobbly" moments in life.

The 'Moana 2' actor has revealed the similarities he shares with his demigod character Maui in the new Disney movie, particular when it comes to how the WWE legend tries to focus on the positive.

He told 'Extra': "I think, trying to find joy around every corner, even if things are a little screwy or wobbly, maybe in real life.

"So, I've had a tendency over the years to not sweep it under the carpet but just, I know funky s*** is going on and I'm dealing with it, but let me try and find a place over here where I can be happy or smile or try and access some happy and joy.

"I find myself doing that. It helps me deal with the not-joyous stuff."

Dwayne also quipped that he and Maui are both "egotistical, loud, big mouth".

He has been in Oahu, Hawaii, to promote 'Moana 2', which brought his life full circle with his daughters - Jasmine, eight, and Tiana, six, with wife Lauren Hashian, and 23-year-old WWE star Simone (AKA Ava) with ex Dany Garcia - joining him for the premiere.

The Rock reflected on how much it meant to share that moment with his family.

He added: "My daughters, all three of my daughters were there. That was the first time we'd all been together in a public place before. That was beautiful.

"My mom was there. It's our culture. I grew up here, got in trouble here 15 miles up the road.

"My grandfather's buried here. My grandfather inspired the character of Maui... It all came together."

Dwayne, 52, first found fame as a wrestler, before he switched his focus towards Hollywood.

The 'Red One' star is now one of the best-paid actors in the movie business - but Dwayne previously admitted he will "always be a pro wrestler at heart".

He recently told 'Entertainment Tonight': "I love it. I love what I do, I love this world of wrestling, I love pro wrestling.

"I was born into pro wrestling, I will always be a pro wrestler at heart and in attitude too."
