BOSTON — A JetBlue flight out of Logan Airport came to a screaming halt tonight after a passenger attempted to open a door and climb out, State Police report.
“Shortly before take off, a passenger who wanted to deplane opened an aircraft door suddenly and without warning,” said MSP spokesman Tim McGuirk.
The frightening sudden attempt to exit was reported at about 7:30 p.m., McGuirk added, on a JetBlue flight with audio from the pilot saying he could “hear the passengers screaming” but a “LEO” — law enforcement officer — was onboard and immediately jumped into action, according to a tweet by Ted Daniel of NBC10.
The suspect has been arrested but is not being identified. The State Police called it “an isolated incident,” according to a preliminary investigation.
State Police added “the individual is expected to face charges and be arraigned in East Boston District Court in the morning. Their identity is being withheld until the charges are finalized.”
