Maryland snowstorm still affecting flights, trains, buses Tuesday
Published in News & Features
The snowstorm has moved away from the Baltimore region — for now — but transportation issues continue to be a challenge.
As of Tuesday morning, there are 59 canceled flights that were meant to leave BWI Marshall Airport on Tuesday and six delays, according to FlightAware. In addition, there were 51 flights that were supposed to enter BWI on Tuesday but were canceled. Several airlines were asking customers to rebook their travel plans for a later date.
The MARC Train will operate the R schedule on all three lines Tuesday due to the ongoing effects from the winter storm. Only trains with an R under the train number in the Camden and Penn Line timetables and in the R schedule grid on the right side of the Brunswick Line timetable will operate. Some Penn and Camden line trains make additional stops on the R schedule. For Penn Line passengers, in addition to the R schedule, Trains 455 and 454 — 8:45 p.m. departure from Penn Station and 10:05 p.m. departure from Union Station, respectively — will operate.
Amtrak cancelled 33 northeast corridor trains — between Boston and Washington — Tuesday morning, according to the company website.
Multiple MTA bus routes are affected by the snow as well. The following express routes will not operate Tuesday:
•103: Downtown – Cromwell Bridge.
•105: Cedonia – Downtown.
•115: Downtown – Perry Hall.
•120: White Marsh – Downtown/Hopkins.
•150: Columbia – Downtown/Harbor East.
•154: State Center – Carney/Hillendale.
•160: Downtown/Hopkins – Essex.
